The Clan Historical and Genealogical RepositoryThe Society’s Clan Historical and Genealogical Repository, a future project, is intended to collect and preserve literary, historical, and genealogical records, documents, and artifacts pertaining to the history of the Clan, its members, and Scotland for the education and benefit of Clan members and their descendants. Books and other published works, documents, genealogical information, and other materials represent the evidence and fabric of our Royal Clan’s history. The Repository’s purpose will be to provide a singular, reliable, centralized location where the pertinent records of our Clan’s history can be accumulated for safekeeping and made available to those interested in learning about the Clan. In ancient times, the bards served to protect and proclaim the history of the Clan. Although it was accurate, we are now acutely aware of just how fragile the record of the past is when such heavy reliance is placed on oral history! Thus, it is of critical importance that we, as individual members, contribute to the Repository the elements of our Clan’s history that we possess and that we, the Clan as a whole, faithfully guard our precious few artifacts for the benefit and use of our members and our future members.
If you would like to make a submission to the Clan Repository for the benefit of all Clan members and for the safekeeping of Clan historical records and artifacts, please follow the links below. All submissions, whether original or copied, are accepted with gratitude. We honor donor restrictions on the use of submitted materials, including the submission of personal genealogical information.
