Welcome to the Homepage of the Clan MacAlpine Society.
We are leading the effort to revive Clan MacAlpine, the ancient and Royal Scottish Clan descended from our first Chief, the first King of Scotland, King Kenneth MacAlpin.

2008 AGM Features Many Highlights!
The Society held its 9th Annual General Meeting on Saturday May 24, 2008, in Alma, Michigan, USA. As featured clan, we received top billing in the Parade of Clans and led the march through the stadium. In addition, Society President Kenneth J. McAlpine was the Honored Guest of the Memorial Day Parade that passed by thousands of onlookers who lined the streets of downtown Alma. A good turnout by clan members culminated in a group dinner that was enjoyed by all. Mary Ann McAlpine Baker, Michigan Commissioner, and her husband Jeff put together a brilliant tent display and added several special touches that made for a wonderful weekend of kinship and memories!

The Hon. Sir William McAlpine, 6th Bt. is the Patron of the Clan MacAlpine Society. The Society is fortunate to have Sir William’s endorsement of our effort and his active support as our Patron. Sir William is the great grandson of Sir Robert McAlpine, 1st Bt. founder of the world famous Sir Robert McAlpine, LTD construction company. As successor to the Baronetcy, Sir William is the head of the most prominent "MacAlpine" family in the UK, if not the world.

A Message From Kenneth James McAlpine, Society President
To all "MacAlpines" and variant spellings thereof: Our ancient Royal clan bears the name of King Kenneth MacAlpin, our Clan's first Chief and the first King of Scotland. Join us as we reclaim our heritage as one of Scotland’s greatest Clans. We are coming together as an organized name group in order to gain what we have never had; official recognition as a Clan from the Lord Lyon in Scotland. Also, as the line of our hereditary Chief has been lost, we are working to have a new Clan Leader commissioned by the Lord Lyon.
Although I, myself, do not expect to become Leader of our Clan, as Society President I do request advice from the Lord Lyon regarding our goals and keep him informed of our progress. However, much work remains to be done! If your name is MacAlpine, or a variant spelling thereof, I urge you to support your Clan. Help us to organize by adding your name to The Clan Roll Call (the Society's private listing of all Clan members.) We will keep you informed about upcoming events and Clan issues. I also encourage you to join the Clan MacAlpine Society to help further our efforts in this endeavor. The battle against our Clan's extinction is one of the most important in our history. Thus, I invoke our ancient war cry of “Remember the Death of Alpin!” and ask you, my fellow clansmen, to support this effort to save our Clan. I ask you to:
